Sour Cream & Onion Salad Dressing

    Creamy Sour Cream & Onion Salad Dressing that uses our F N Good Food seasoning. It’s perfect for drizzling over green salads, potato salads, or even as a veggie dip!

    Sour Cream & Onion Salad Dressing
    *(makes ~ 1cup)*

    Ingredients:

    ½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)

    - ¼ cup mayonnaise

    2 tbsp buttermilk (or regular milk/plant-based milk)

    2 tsp fresh lemon juice (or white wine vinegar)

    2–3 tsp F N Good Food Sour Cream & Onion seasoning (adjust to taste)

    - 1 tsp honey

    - Salt and pepper (to taste, optional)  

    - Water (to thin, if needed)

    Instructions

    Combine Base Ingredients

    1. In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayo, buttermilk, lemon juice, and honey until smooth
    2. . Add Seasoning:
    3. Stir in the  F N Good Food Sour Cream & Onion seasoning. Start with 2 tsp, taste, and add more for extra flavour.

    Adjust Consistency:
    If the dressing is too thick, add water 1 tsp at a time until it reaches your desired texture. 

     

    Season to Taste:
    Add salt and pepper only if needed (the seasoning mix already contains salt). 

     

    Chill (Optional):
    Let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld. 

    Serving Suggestions
    Classic Green Salad: Toss with romaine, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and croutons.

    Potato Salad: Mix with boiled potatoes, bacon bits, and chives.
    Crudité Platter: Serve as a dip for carrots, celery, or radishes.
    Grilled Veggies: Drizzle over roasted asparagus or zucchini.

    Tips
    Herb Boost: Add fresh dill or parsley for brightness.
    Spicy Kick: Stir in a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper. 
    Avocado Twist: Blend in ½ avocado for extra creaminess.
